The WOMM V1.0 Openings

WOMM = "W"hite "O"ne "M"ore "M"ove

Human opening lines, 6.5 moves (=13 plies) and 8.5 moves (=17 plies) deep, out of the Megabase 2021 (the
endpositions were checked by KomodoDragon 1.0 avx with 10 seconds/move on a AMD Ryzen 12 core) were used.
In all of the endpositions, black has to move first (odd number of plies). These endpositions were
FEN-coded and then the flag, defining the color, which has the first move, was changed from "b" (=Black)
to "w" (=White).
Example (first position of the WOMM_6mvs_+090_+099.pgn file):
FEN "r1bqkb1r/pp1n1ppp/2p1pn2/8/2BP4/2N1PN2/PP3PPP/R1BQK2R b KQkq - 0 1" was changed to
FEN "r1bqkb1r/pp1n1ppp/2p1pn2/8/2BP4/2N1PN2/PP3PPP/R1BQK2R w KQkq - 0 1"

This means, that white had played the last move, leading to the endposition and is now allowed to make
another move, before black has to move.

It is clear, that a lot of these endpositions are very bad for black, because black can have a hanging piece
and white is allowed to move again, so the piece can be captured. So, all endpositions were checked again
by KomodoDragon 1.0 avx with 3 seconds/move on a AMD Ryzen 12 core and these bad positions were sorted
out.

There are 7 folders with different WOMM V1 openings-sets, with increasing advantage for white:
Eval [+0.90;+0.99]
Eval [+1.00;+1.09]
Eval [+1.10;+1.19]
Eval [+1.20;+1.29]
Eval [+1.30;+1.39]
Eval [+1.40;+1.49]
Eval [+1.50;+1.59]

Each folder contains 3 WOMM openings-sets: 6 moves (13 plies), 8 moves (17 plies) and a bigger 8 moves file
with a bigger eval interval of 0.29 instead of 0.09.
The idea is to adjust the draw-rate of engine-tests and tournaments in a recommended interval of around 45%-60% by
using a different WOMM V1 opening set.
At the moment, it is recommended to use the first WOMM V1 set with [+0.90;+0.99]. But if this set gives a too high
draw-rate, because of a very drawish test-environment (Stockfish vs. another Stockfish for example), you can use a
higher WOMM V1 set, to shrink the draw-rate.
Same for the computerchess in the future, where faster hardware and stronger engines will lead to increasing
draw-rates, too. Then using a higher WOMM V1 (more advantage for white) set can be useful.
But mention, that the draw-rate should not get too low (below 45%), because this will lead to a lot of 1:1-pairs
(= one opening line is clearly won for white, when Engine A and Engine B plays white in a head-to-head, both Engines
win one game, using that opening-line (=1:1 points/pair)). If the draw-rate in your engine-testings is below 45%,
you should switch to a lower WOMM V1 set (=smaller advantage for white) otherwise you will shrink the Elo spreading
of your test-results!!!

The WOMM openings give white a clear advantage, so these openings can be used for Armageddon rescoring.
But it is also possible, to use these openings with regular chess with classcial scoring system.
